You may find 5 oz. America the Beautiful silver coins listed as, "Struck at the
Philadelphia Mint," or with the Philadelphia mint mark ("P") in
parentheses in the listing or headline. Please be cautious! These may not be genuine specimen coins. Only the genuine specimen coins carry the
"P" mint mark beneath the "IN GOD WE TRUST" legend on the
obverse (heads) side of the coin. Only
genuine specimen coins are minted to the highest standards with a beautiful
uniform satin finish. Only the genuine
specimen coins have a very limited maximum potential
mintage.
Program
Information
These three-inch, five-ounce, .999
fine silver coins replicate each of the designs featured on the United States
Mint America the Beautiful Quarters® Program Coins, which are authorized by
Public Law 110-456. The United States Mint will issue 56 quarters featuring
designs depicting national parks and other national sites as part of this
program. Five America the Beautiful Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coins will
be minted annually and released in the order in which the honored site was
first established as a national site, with the final coin issued in 2021.
The series features the 1932 portrait of George
Washington by John Flanagan, restored to bring out subtle details and the
beauty of the original model, on the obverse. The reverse is an iconic image evocative
of Vicksburg National Military Park.
We offer both graded & certified ATB 5 oz. silver specimen coins and "raw" coins. "Raw" simply means that the coin is in its original United States Mint packaging and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity issued by the U.S. Mint. The original mint packaging for ATB 5 oz. silver specimen coins consists of a special fitted box protected by a matching outer sleeve. Only raw coins are offered for sale in this listing. Graded & certified coins will be listed soon.
